  • 9:00 AM – Departure from Baku
    Begin your journey with a scenic drive out of Baku, enjoying views of Azerbaijan’s diverse landscapes along the way.

  • 10:30 AM – Candy Cane Mountains Stop
    Our first stop is the Candy Cane Mountains, where you'll be amazed by the vibrant red-and-white-striped formations. Learn from your guide about the geological forces that created these stunning hills, and take time to capture some incredible photos.

  • 11:15 AM – Besh Barmag Mountain
    Stop at the legendary Besh Barmag Mountain (Five Finger Mountain), a site of great historical and spiritual significance. This towering rock formation has been a pilgrimage site for centuries and offers stunning views of the surrounding area.

  • 12:45 PM – Qechresh Forest
    Take a refreshing walk through the tranquil Qechresh Forest, known for its tall, dense trees and peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to breathe in the fresh mountain air and reconnect with nature.

  • 1:30 PM – Red Village in Guba
    Arrive at Red Village, a unique community home to one of the last remaining all-Jewish populations in the region. Explore the village’s rich cultural heritage, including its historic synagogues and traditional architecture.

  • 2:00 PM – Lunch in Guba (Optional)
    Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Guba, sampling traditional Azerbaijani cuisine. (Lunch not included in the tour price.)

  • 3:30 PM – Laza Village
    Visit the picturesque Laza Village, nestled in the highlands of the Greater Caucasus. Famous for its waterfalls and dramatic mountain scenery, Laza offers some of the best photo opportunities of the day.

  • 4:15 PM – Shahdag Mountain Resort
    Arrive at Shahdag, Azerbaijan’s premier mountain resort. You’ll have time to explore the resort, take a cable car ride, or simply relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains.

  • 6:30 PM – Return to Baku
    Begin the scenic drive back to Baku, reflecting on the day’s adventures as the sun sets over the landscape.

  • 9:00 PM – Arrival in Baku

Where does the Shahdag & Candy Cane Mountains tour start?

- The tour starts at 9 am from the Double Gates of Old City Baku (Gosha Gala Gapisi).

- You'll meet your guide at your Baku accommodation. We'll send You the pickup (meeting) time one day before the tour date through WhatsApp or email. Usually the pickup from your accommodation is 30 minutes before the departure.

 

Where does the Shahdag & Candy Cane Mountains tour end?

Once we arrive to Baku, the tour car will drop-off You to your Baku accommodation place. The ending point is the start point: Double Gates of Old City Baku.

- Not much walking is involved in this tour, as we drive right to the activity points. In Candy Cane Mountains there will be moderate walking.

- Though, this tour is not wheelchair (baby stroller) accessible. We recommend to our guests to take a private tour if there is a person with wheelchair or baby stroller.
